We have three female GP’s and two male GP’s on a permanent basis. We are also a training practice so have GP Registrars, sometimes Military for either 4, 6 or 12 month placements plus students from Warwick Medical school for 6 weeks at a time. All the GP’s have an area of special interest that they enjoy ranging from women’s health to dermatology to prescribing issues. All clinicians attend our weekly lunchtime meeting to discuss the weeks information and to highlight any medical issues.
Our practice nurses provide clinics for our patients from Monday – Friday. They hold appointments for diabetes, COPD, asthma, dressings, INR, travel vaccinations, childhood injections, to name but a few.. we also have a part-time HCA to offer blood tests, ear syringing, weight management, NHS Health Checks, Over 75 checks and a part-time Phlebotomist to offer additional blood tests.
We also have links to the community services for our patients including a Health Visitor, Midwife and District Nurses. They are all based in the community but liaise with the practice. We offer IAPT counselling at the practice along with AAA screening for men over 65, Digital Retinopathy screening for our diabetic patients and we also run a ‘stop smoking service’ with our practice nurse.
We have a dedicated and hard-working Administration/Management team who provide support to our clinical team and most importantly to our patients. We are quite unique with our practice location as we are on the border of three Health Authorities which can add to the fun when trying to ensure our patients are seen at their requested hospital. This can cause issues particularly when our patient lives in one Health Authority, we are located in another and the hospital is in another!!
The practice premises is over two floors with consulting rooms on each floor plus a Minor Operations suite on the first floor and a fully equipped Treatment Room on the ground floor.
