Facilities

Text messaging – we can offer our patients confirmation of an appointment via text messaging.  Simply ask Reception to sign you up for this service.  Please confirm your correct mobile number with us at the time.

Browesaloud – this facility is available on our website,  Simply click on the orange headphone symbol in the top right corner for access.  The options available include read aloud, large print, colour blocking, simplifier and magnifier.

Automated arrival – located in our porch for our patients to check themselves in upon arrival. This saves time and stops patients having to wait to be checked in at our main Reception. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment you will be directed to speak to one of our Receptionists.

Wheelchair access – we have disabled care parking spaces, wide access doors, disabled facilities on both floors and a lift.

Parking – we have a large car park to accommodate all our patients and staff

Online prescriptions – you can order your repeat medication online. If you would like more details please speak to our Reception team.

Online appointments – you can also book appointments online for our salaried GP’s and Registrars. To register please contact the practice for information

Online medical record access – our patients can request this information from the practice. You will need to register, provide ID evidence and sign to acknowledge this service.

Translation Services
If this service is required for any of our patients please let us know prior to your appointment and we will contact our CCG to arrange.

Do you need a sign language Interpreter?
Information in our porch area. Please ask at Reception for a copy of the poster

Hearing Loop
The surgery has a  hearing loop at Reception for our patients.  To use you will need to switch your hearing aid to the ‘T’ position.

Visually impaired patients
We have some of our porch information in larger print to assist our patients – if any other information is required please let us know at Reception.

We also offer services/accommodation above and beyond our NHS contract, to benefit our patients. As a practice, we absorb these additional costs for:-

INR clinics – weekly clinics booked with the nurse.

Minor Operations – weekly clinic booked through Reception.

Medipacks – twice weekly delivery service arranged through Dispensary.

Home delivery service – twice weekly via Dispensary.

IAPT – appointment only via GP referral - available in-house at the practice.

Digital Retinopathy – booked for diabetic patients via GP/nurse appointment saving our patients travelling to hospital.

AAA screening – Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening – available for men aged 65 and over – details at Reception for patients to contact and book an appointment – held in-house at the practice.

Industrial Diagnostics Company (IDC) offer wax removal via Microsuction, Hearing Tests (Audiology) and a Hearing Aid Service at the practice.

Patients aged 55 and over will need to book an appointment with the Practice Nurse who can then refer to IDC, if needed. The appointments for IDC are held at the practice.
